What does the UNE 17001 standard on universal accessibility offer?
Certifying the Universal Accessibility Management System in accordance with UNE 17001 offers the following benefits:

- Resource management. This covers human resources (including staff training), technical and material resources (such as infrastructure and technical aids), as well as documentation.
- Planning for universal accessibility to the environment. DALCO requirements are taken into account to ensure universal accessibility over time:
- Criteria for movement (Circulation zones, Approach spaces, Rest areas, Level changes and Pavements)
- Criteria for orientation (Orientation aids, Approach and use areas; Location; Design; Transport aids and Auxiliary services)
- Guidelines for orientation (Signage, Lighting, Pavement, Other means of orientation and Auxiliary services).
- Criteria for communication (Means for non-interactive communication and Means for interactive communication)
- Supplementary criteria (Lighting; Supplementary services; Temporary alterations or works; Maintenance; Other elements to consider)
- Monitoring, measurement, analysis and improvement (Monitoring and measurement; Corrective and preventive actions, as well as data analysis and continuous improvement: Accessibility improvement plan)
