Road safety in accordance with ISO 39001
Effective road safety management, certified to the ISO 39001 standard, enables:

- 5. Leadership: summarises the specific requirements for the role of top management in the road safety management system, and how leadership articulates its expectations to the organisation through a statement and the development and implementation of an appropriate road safety policy.
- 6. Planning: describes the requirements relating to the establishment of strategic objectives and guiding principles for the road safety management system as a whole.
- 7. Support: supports the operations of the road safety management system with regard to establishing competence and communicating on a recurring basis or as required with interested parties, whilst documenting, controlling, maintaining and retaining the required documentation.
