ISO 45001 occupational health and safety requirements
From the ISO 45001 standard on occupational health and safety, we highlight the following requirements:
- Context. The ISO 45001 standard specifies the interested parties (workers, management, etc.). It should be noted that management, by not adhering to the collective agreement, may not be represented.
- Leadership. Continuous improvement, led by top management, must promote:
- The active participation of workers.
- The necessary resources and processes.
- People and communication.
- Strategy, in accordance with the strategic plan and business plan.
- Consultation and participation: ‘Consultation’ involves seeking workers’ views before making a decision, and ‘participation’ refers to workers’ involvement in decision-making.
- Planning for occupational health and safety based on:
