What does an ISO 45001 audit need to take into account?

The ISO 45001 audit serves as a framework and guide for the occupational health and safety programme, with a view to improving its effectiveness. When conducting the audit, the following must be taken into account:

  • Planning the ISO 45001 audit so that all processes and requirements of the standard are audited at least once a year.
  • Selection of the audit team. The company must define its audit procedure. It must be possible to conduct the audit with an external audit team.
  • Documentation of the ISO 45001 audit, in accordance with the audit procedure. If you wish, we can use your audit format.
  • Objective ISO 45001 audit. The results are based on ‘objective evidence’, through which the auditor substantiates their conclusions. Audit corrective actions.
  • Based on the non-conformities or breaches identified, corrective actions must be taken to eliminate the causes that led to the detected non-conformities.
