The UNE 166001 standard sets out the requirements that innovation projects must meet, taking into account:

RESPONSIBILITIES in innovation projects
PROJECT REPORT. According to the UNE 166001 standard, the innovation project report must contain at least the following:
- Objectives of the innovation project and the strategy for achieving them
- Innovation and novelty of the innovation project
- State-of-the-art review
- Technical limitations of the current state of the art
- Scientific progress of the project
- Protection of results
PLANNING. The project tasks and their interrelationships must be planned in accordance with the role to be assumed by each participant. Planning must also take into account the organisation’s organisational and staffing structure. Other aspects to be considered in planning include duration, control of the work programme, identification of risks and control of critical points, and the management of changes, contingencies and risks.
BUDGET. The project budget must include the resources allocated to the project and the estimated cost.
QUALITY PLAN: facilitates the integration of the project into the organisation’s quality system
PLAN FOR THE EXPLOITATION OF RESULTS: The standard takes into account requirements relating to the following aspects:
