  • Analysis of current management practices. This involves taking into account everything that is already working well within your organisation. We analyse strengths and weaknesses in order to build on them or implement corrective measures. We also take into account the organisation’s context and the Ansoff matrix, culminating in the preparation of a SWOT analysis.
  • Plan Development. This is unique to each organisation. Furthermore, we know how to integrate it with your ISO 9001 certification. It provides management with tools that generate value and can be easily applied in day-to-day management, such as indicators, as set out in the Balanced Scorecard, and strategic objectives. A great help to the business.
  • Implementation of the Plan. We implement it with such efficiency and effectiveness that it helps to consolidate the company and its growth. The Plan may involve marketing-related actions to penetrate new market segments, the launch of new services, or the financial capacity to develop new projects.

FAQs Strategic Plan

What is a strategic plan?

It is a document that sets out and guides the organisation’s long-term direction (over a period of 3 to 5 years), although it is reviewed periodically to adapt to new challenges and opportunities, outlining its main objectives, strategic priorities and key actions to achieve them. It serves as a guide for decision-making and for aligning all departments.

The plan enables the organisation to anticipate changes, prioritise resources, align the team’s efforts and improve the organisation’s quality, competitiveness and sustainability.

The strategic plan sets out the organisation’s long-term direction and objectives, whilst the ISO management system establishes a framework to ensure that these objectives are achieved in a systematic and effective manner, in accordance with regulatory requirements.

ISO standards provide tools such as risk analysis, target monitoring, continuous improvement and management review, which enable the strategic plan to be implemented and evaluated.

It is not mandatory to have a formal “strategic plan”, but ISO standards (such as ISO 9001 for quality management or ISO 14001 for environmental management) require organisations to define the context, risks, opportunities and objectives in line with their strategic direction. Therefore, having a strategic plan makes it much easier to meet these ISO certification requirements.

Indicators and responsible parties have been identified for each objective. Progress is monitored through regular review meetings, progress reports and any necessary adjustments to the planned actions.

The plan is a flexible guide. If there are significant changes in the environment or within the organisation, priorities can be reviewed and strategies adapted to ensure continued effectiveness.
The objectives of the management system (ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for the environment, ISO 45001 or ISO 27001 for safety, and social responsibility) form part of the company’s overall strategic objectives. Effective integration and alignment ensure consistency and efficiency.

Aligning the strategic plan with the ISO management system delivers:

  • Consistency between management and day-to-day operations. It motivates customers and staff.
  • Improved decision-making, facilitating continuous improvement.
  • Increased staff commitment. It helps retain staff.
  • It facilitates regulatory compliance.
  • Better preparedness for risks and opportunities.

Management must align the strategic plan with the ISO certificates, with the support of the team responsible for the management system. In this way, they can ensure that the strategic plan and the ISO certificate are integrated and provide mutual feedback for continuous improvement.
