The UNE EN 13816 standard in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area
The Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB), with the assistance of our ISO consultancy and the Gesttic platform, has once again successfully renewed its N certificate in accordance with UNE EN 13816 for passenger transport services through the certification body AENOR.
The Barcelona Metropolitan Area was the first public authority to obtain the N certificate in accordance with the UNE 13816 standard for passenger transport. The passenger transport service certificate covers the more than 100 bus routes it operates. It encompasses the municipalities of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Badalona, Gavà, Viladecans, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Castelldefels and the Barcelona Aerobús. These bus routes are operated by companies such as TUSGSAL, BaixBus, Soler i Sauret and SGMT (AerobusBcn).
Thanks to the certification of the passenger transport service, there has been a continuous improvement in the service. This results in a better passenger transport service that achieves greater user satisfaction.
