La Garriga with ISO 9001-certified outsourcing
The La Garriga Municipal Education Centre (EME La Garriga) is part of the Education Department of La Garriga Town Council. Its remit includes providing adult education, vocational training and support programmes for formal education. It also coordinates the activities carried out at the centre by other organisations. It maintains its ISO 9001 certification with the help of our ISO outsourcing service.
Currently, EME La Garriga offers courses and services aimed at all sections of the population, from young people to those over 65, covering academic, professional, artistic and supplementary training, in line with the needs identified in these areas and to which the centre is able to respond.
ISO 9001 certification at EME La Garriga
The Quality System is certified by AENOR, under registration number 2003/0718/ER/01. Its scope covers the “Design and provision of services in:
- Vocational training (carpentry, administrative management, office automation, spa assistant, geriatric care assistant, family support worker, cook, alternative therapies).
- Adult education (basic IT, specialised courses (gardening, cooking, healthcare), languages.
- Social guarantee programmes (carpentry, retail).
- Educational programmes (curriculum adaptation for pupils with academic difficulties).
- Open classroom. In the 2007 AENOR certification audit, the audit team highlighted the implementation of the computerised tool (gesttic) for managing the Quality System as a key strength. We also note that the Management Review for the 2007/2008 academic year emphasised that the paperless ISO system would aid in monitoring the ISO 9001 certificate. It also allows us to stay in contact with consultants and digitise all documentation.
In 2009, EME La Garriga’s management system was certified by SGS, which highlighted the use of Gesttic for resolving ‘non-conformities’ as a key strength.
