Sitges with the Blue Flag
The beaches of Sant Sebastià, Terramar and Aiguadolç in Sitges have been awarded the Blue Flag. Sitges is a leading destination, close to Barcelona, and very popular with those looking to enjoy the sun, fun and warmth of the Mediterranean. The charm of the town and its beaches lies in their unique character and the facilities needed to enjoy a pleasant time by the sea.
Sitges’ beaches have been awarded EMAS accreditation, ISO 14001 certification and Biosphere certification for the quality of their services, environmental management and social commitment. This reflects a commitment to continuous improvement.

Blue Flag Campaign 2018
The ADEAC Association has awarded the Blue Flag to beaches, yacht clubs and marinas. This involves passing assessments that evaluate aspects such as hygiene, safety, accessibility, sustainability and compliance with legislation, amongst other considerations.
This coming summer, there will be 696 award-winning beaches and marinas across Spain. Catalan beaches will have six more Blue Flags than last year, bringing the total to 101.
