Recuperacions Masnou (Recumas) is a waste management company. It holds integrated ISO 9001 and 14001 certification for quality and environmental management, with the support of our ISO consultancy.
Recumas specialises in waste management and transport. At its plants in Sant Celoni and Sant Feliu de Buixalleu (Barcelona), as well as serving as a Collection and Transfer Centre, it can recycle paper and cardboard; recycle plastics and textiles; recycle and reuse wood; recycling and recovery of metals or metal compounds; recovery of cables and recycling and recovery of end-of-life vehicles, sorting and baling, cable shredding, decontamination of end-of-life vehicles and storage of tyres, WEEE, batteries and refrigerators.
The integrated ISO 9001 and 14001 certificate covers “Management, transport and recovery of special and non-special waste: Recovery and recycling of recoverable materials, dismantling of end-of-life vehicles, and selective collection of organic waste in urban and industrial areas”.
In the ISO audit carried out by the certification body Bureau Veritas in June 2009, the management of the Integrated Management System through the interactive Gesttic – ISO Software programme was highlighted as a significant observation.
