ISO 9001 IMID Biobank
IMID Biobank has been awarded ISO 9001 quality management certification by Bureau Veritas, covering the scope of “Processing of biological samples and associated data”. IMID Biobank is an initiative of the Rheumatology Research Group (GRR) at the Research Institute of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. IMID Biobank is physically located at the Barcelona Science Park (PCB).
The Biobank carries out large-scale sample processing and storage, which requires a highly specialised infrastructure. To provide the necessary infrastructure, it operates an IMID patient sample bank called IMID-BioBank. IMID refers to immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMID) such as psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
